We have a rich resource of performance and teaching material that was collected and curated over decades and is unparalleled in other facilities.
Drama Course Enrollment
Following the passing of our founder and friend Betty Ann Norton, we will be continuing her excellent work of providing confidence, creativity, clear speech, and a lifelong love of acting and theatre to as many as possible.
With our extensive range of tutors, our theatre school has over 60 years’ experience teaching a wide range of speech and drama classes in Dublin and beyond. We offer a variety of acting classes for beginners, children, teenagers and adults focusing on developing public speaking skills, and confidence and performance skills training. Discover Acting & Theatre
We feel that a working space is very important to our classes.
Cuisle Arts and Cultural Centre in St. Louis High School has been our base for the last 20 years. The large and numerous stained glass windows cast colourful light throughout the space and the warm wood creates a calm and creative environment that encourages exploration and imagination in our students. With plenty of space to move about, and exceptional acoustics, it is perfect for both movement and vocal work.
Our Rathmines classes take place here and in the theatre. We are fortunate to have so many students that sit Speech and Drama exams that every year we form our own exam centre that hosts an examiner from Trinity College London. The candidates benefit from performing in a familiar space and we benefit by having the London based examiners fly to us!
Cuisle Arts and Cultural Centre is based in St. Louis High School Rathmines. Did you know that Betty Ann attended St. Louis for her secondary education? Her love for theatre was known throughout her schooling as she directed and put on many school plays during her time as a student.
Cuisle is the Irish for heartbeat or pulse. We find this fitting as it is the beating heart of our school and the place where many of our staff first set foot on stage.
